Heyo CubeCrafters!

September is over, and it was a packed month. Let's recap! - Read below to learn more.

⚔️ Skill-Based Matchmaking

As you'll read further into this CubeCap, in our BedWars Update, we introduced Skill-Based Matchmaking. We've been adding this to other parts of the network and games. This means that all players are queued together based on skill instead of what device you're on! - Ensuring your games are fairer, balanced and evenly competitive.

This has been on our network silently for weeks; you might not have noticed, or you might have noticed that your games are more balanced. This is something we're slowly rolling out to other parts of CubeCraft in the coming months! 🎉

Will I get to see my skill values?
No, not for BedWars or some games, it's purely to put you in more appropriate matches. We don't want to make all games super competitive right now! - In the future, this will change depending on the game.

What if I play on different input modes?
If you play on a controller and a phone, don't worry! You have a different skill value for each input mode. This means that if you're great on a controller but terrible on your phone, your poor gameplay won't affect the skill value we've assigned you on your controller.

How do you deem how good I am to begin with?
We start your initial skill value based on your input device. This means that players using a mouse and keyboard start initially with the highest skill value. We are continuing to tweak these values. We also cross-seed bits of information, which basically means that we look at whether you've played any of the other BedWars modes, or if you've played on different input devices and make estimated guesses about how good you will be at this game. Also, initially, you're subjected to placement games, which adjust your skill value faster to get you into games that better reflect your skill level faster. We're constantly monitoring these values to identify ways we can improve them.

Are there plans for this in other games?
Yes! We just started with BedWars, but we're going to start rolling this out to all games! We think that this better skill matchmaking is far more balanced than input-mode matchmaking!

Really cool with two updates in the same month! While the community consensus might not be entirely positive, it's still great that Cube can bring this to us!

Congratulations to all the people who finished top 3 in the Cubecraft League as well!

🌟 Uniting Blocks, Lighting Worlds: A Thank You Letter to the CubeCraft Translations Team

Dear CubeCraft Translations Team Partners,

Thank you all for your incredible hard work!

As we stand at this memorable milestone and look back on the journey we have shared over the past year, our hearts are filled not only with awe, but with endless gratitude. Today, we gather to celebrate the 1st Anniversary of CubeCraft Translations. This is more than just a calendar date; it is a testament to the community miracle created by a global network of passionate players who united out of a shared love for Minecraft.

Many players might not know what the secret code is behind the scenes of a top-tier featured server that hosts tens of thousands of active players every single day. Some might say it is seamless code; others might point to beautiful new maps. But for us, the true answer is "the bridge of language." It is precisely because of your existence that CubeCraft has broken free from the limitations of a single, English-centric ecosystem, allowing us to throw our arms wide open and welcome players from every culture and background across the globe.

📊 Behind the Data: Your Countless Nights of Dedication

The astonishing statistics released in our official annual review are medals of honor, carved letter by letter through your passion and late-night dedication:
* 17 Languages Approved, meaning children from 17 different nations are greeted by their native tongue the moment they log into the server.
* 71,747 Strings and 436,585 Words Successfully Translated—what a monumental undertaking! This linguistic volume is equivalent to voluntarily translating two massive epic novels.
* 2,277,579 Characters Processed and 33,913 Meticulous Edits, proving everyone’s absolute commitment to perfection. We never settled for lazy, robotic automated translations. Instead, we carefully weighed every single item name and minigame hint to ensure they were not only accurate but felt natural and immersive for everyday players.

Here, we must extend an elite salute to the heroes standing at the front lines of our Leaderboard: yurisatori0312 (who single-handedly completed an incredible 7,040 items), 1kekz (with 2,767 contributions), and satirit (with 2,186 contributions). At the same time, we want to express our deepest gratitude to every single one of the 127 unique contributors in this group. Whether you were a core translator handling thousands of strings or a casual contributor who helped proofread a single typo, every one of you is an indispensable brick in this grand linguistic tower.

🌍 What We Do Matters Far More Than You Think

When we gather in chat to discuss Spanish translation progress (where we have reached a massive 72.6% completion rate!) or debate how to translate a new skill name into localized phrasing, what we are doing transcends the act of "translation" itself. We are participating in a beautiful, warm exchange of global culture.

Imagine a young kid from Asia or Latin America launching Minecraft for the very first time, full of excitement as they log into CubeCraft. If they were greeted by a screen full of English text they couldn't understand, they might feel frustrated, isolated, and silently log off. But when they see familiar text and precise localized cues, that sense of being welcomed and understood provides a feeling of belonging that money simply cannot buy. Your words are the spotlights illuminating these players' gaming journeys.

🚀 Moving Forward Together: Writing the Next Brilliant Chapter

CubeCraft Translations is now one year old, but our footsteps will not slow down. With the continuous rollout of major updates—such as the massive Skyblock Reborn project—there will be even greater challenges and massive amounts of new text waiting for us in the future.

This is a community built on inclusion, passion, and mutual respect. The official administration team loves highlighting our achievements to the entire server because you earned this extreme honor. We have proven through our actions that the true beauty of crowdsourcing does not lie in how much corporate cost it saves, but in how it empowers players to roll up their sleeves and build the home they love together.

Thank you for putting down your controllers and closing your games during countless late nights to sit in front of your screens and quietly dedicate your time to this community. Because of you, the world of blocks has no borders. Because of you, CubeCraft Games is a warmer place for everyone.

Happy 1st Anniversary to our wonderful translation team! In the days ahead, let us continue to pour our passion into our words, accompanying millions of global players as they explore the infinite possibilities of this blocky universe!

Sincerely,
The CubeCraft Translations Operations Team
