1.3 Teaming / Cross-Teaming

The definition contains "intentionally working together". How is intention guessed/evaluated?
I've had a few Solo Egg/Sky-wars teaming report denied because it was deemed that at least one player was not doing it intentionally or that was just being focused because I had more gear / was a larger threat to winning. I felt like the outcome of my report depended on whenever I was on my main or alt and whenever the reported players where known or not. (If Mivke and I focussed someone like that, I believe the chances of being banned would be higher)

And a different note, is resource trading allowed in Eggwars? I've seen a lot of jokes in tryhard games with "4 stacks dia for 9 ems" to the team controlling mid. Would this be allowed, or fall under Cross-Teaming. I'd guess so, but just to be sure.
It is determined based on the evidence provided being enough/showing enough. Meaning not fighting, sharing items, sharing an island etc. If one is obviously afk, it may not be enough since we can't know that one user wanted to team.
If two decide to fight one person and occasionally swing at each other, or fight if that one person runs away it is not teaming (common enemy). This is similar to if two people come for the same egg, as long as they are not avoiding each other once that team dies or runs away, it is not necessarily teaming. This can depend though, so please just be aware that it is a bit difficult to explain all of the variations or potential scenarios that would be involved with this.
However, the evidence is not based on who is reported and the reports are usually discussed by several mods and even the admin team. We strive to not have bias in that way, so if you ever feel a specific Mod is being biased and punishing you falsely (or denying evidence incorrectly), feel free to write a team feedback so we can look into it. No punishment should ever be done because it is a known/not known member, just as ranks do not affect our decision.

As for trading resources, if everyone alive is okay with it then it is allowed, but if there are people not okay with it then it is considered teaming as it is intentionally working together.

1.10 Report Platforms' Rules

Since a rule update has happened, I must ask. Is https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/report-suggestion.299833/ still being discusses? Or was it overlooked, stalled for the next revision of the rules?
It is still being discussed, the decision made on it will be known when the prefix is updated. It is not something we would necessarily add to our rules, as it would not be a rule (depending on how it is changing the way we do reports), but if we decide to add it we will once a decision is made.
We may still make a few tweaks to the rules now that they are out:
We will continue to make adjustments, if necessary, and the minor ones will be reported in the #changelogs channel on our Discord server.

2.1 Inappropriate Messages

Are QR codes never allowed, or only when linked to something that breaks other rules? I'd understand either, as checking all QR codes is time consuming and QR have no real use when you're sending stuff to a device already.

Will all punishment reasons as displayed on the appeal site be labeled as the title of the rules. Or will "Swearing" still be used for the subcategory?
They are never allowed, as we cannot know what they contain or what scanning it will do, so we have decided to not allow them. They will follow the Swearing track but a Mod may decide to make the public reason a bit more detailed, but it will fall under Swearing/Inappropriate Language (Media) in general.

2.2 Chat Trolling

I have recently seen a user use colour code to duplicate their name appearance in game. Having their "[Prefix] Name:" show it thrice before the actual message. Would this fall under "using colour codes to make fake messages"
If you need a reference imagine I believe Cathie has one.

"Getting users do something in return for a prize.", what if the prize was given? Might not always be verifiable.
If they are simply putting their own prefix and name again or putting someone's prefix and name to say 'hi' to them, that is not trolling. If they are using it to pretend to be a youtuber or team member, it is impersonating; if they are using it to pretend to be someone else and speak for them it can be considered trolling. If they use color codes to pretend they are a different prefix (or plus), in party chat, a server message, or in DMs, etc - that is also not allowed.
Chat trolling is defined as any language meant to confuse, trick, or troll other players.

We cannot verify that the prize is given, so it is simply not allowed to do at all. This is not under the scamming track, but chat trolling. For example, getting a user to swear for a prize or team for one, etc. would not be allowed. It is a prize for doing whatever that user decides (this can include 'give me a rank and I will let you win' etc.). Please keep in mind these are some brief examples, but not all scenarios that this rule can be applied to.

2.5 Spamming

"expressions such as "gg" will not be considered spam unless they are sent multiple times within a few seconds.", does this mean you are allowed to send "gg" multiple times in the same game when winning long fights etc. ?
As long as it is not sent multiple times within a few seconds, it is okay. If it is sent multiple times within that short time frame, it will be punishable. If you want to be sure you are following the rules, you can wait a few minutes or a bit longer (depending on the game) before you send another 'gg'.

2.8 advertising

Specifically stats you are allowed to share your discord username. Does this mean you are not allowed to do so for all other social media network? And what if they're used for communicating, i.e. add my on TeamSpeak <....>.
Yes, as this change is for their discord username mainly, as we noticed it's the main platform our player base use to communicate.
You are not allowed to share anything other than a Discord username as the rules state:
- Advertising social networks in chat is not allowed, but you can send your Discord username to others.
- You are allowed to add your social networks and even your Discord server link to your forums signature, your linked networks in your forums settings and to your Discord status.

The exception listed above here, where it can be on a forum's signature or linked to your Discord etc. We do not have an exception for TeamSpeak etc.

you guys truly are pathetic, too afraid of criticism?
when you just ruin your reputation to the point one thinks you can't go worse, y'all just hit a new low.

non-gratulations, mental children.
I'm assuming this refers to derogatory comments to an individual on the CubeCraft team and not criticism about CubeCraft as a whole.

"References to drugs, self-harm, as well as derogatory comments to the CubeCraft Team" Feedback and suggestions can be made about the server without needing to be derogatory against an individual or group within the CubeCraft team, and if you don't see that, you're the problem, not CubeCraft.

CubeCraft have never said they are "afraid of criticism", only that it should be constructive and made to better CubeCraft in some way, so I don't see how this makes them "pathetic" or "mental children".

So yea I think this just means that you should respect staff and not make derogatory comments to them, but criticism of CubeCraft is most likely still allowed, if not then my entire purpose here of making threads all say everyday is ruined so it seems kinda personal.

But anyway yea I don't agree with you at all, where's the negative in being respectful to CubeCraft staff while still making constructive criticism?

Ig we're all mental children sometimes....

Is that an official Bedrock feature that affects gameplay?
Custom geometry is an official Bedrock feature yes. Which is actually really cool, perhaps not in PvP based game modes. But for all the rest it is amazing; role play, etc.

Since it affects PvP, it's disabled on Cube. But I suppose the rule was added for skins that bypassed the filter

Hello, CubeCrafters!

Today we have updated our Forum, Discord, and our Java/Bedrock server rules. We have made several changes thanks to the community and moderation team's suggestions!

📜 Main Change

We wanted to allow our rules page to be more consolidated and remove the repetitive statements when it comes to the same rules being stated in multiple sections. Due to this, the chat rules for our Servers, Forums, and Discord have all been merged into the same section.
This means that the punishment tracks will all follow the same time length, with the respective punishments for mutes on the Server and bans on the Forums/Discord remaining. There are exceptions to the sections that are solely for a specific part of our network. These have been labeled accordingly: Forums, Discord, or Forums and Discord only in the punishment track title.

This allowed us to provide more details about the situations that break these rules, or the exceptions to the rule, without the page becoming a mini-novel.

📝 Rule Specific Changes

While making the change to the overall layout for the rules, we also went through and made some minor tweaks to specific rules. These were all based on feedback we had and overall discussions about the rules as a whole.
  • Invisible and small skins will no longer be allowed on our Bedrock server. We will have a week-long grace period, where a warning is issued first.
  • Added a "strategic misplacing" rule to Tower Defence.
  • Added the rules for our reporting platforms.
  • Added references to drugs, self-harm, as well as derogatory comments to the CubeCraft Team to the Swearing rule.
  • Added Text Art (ACSII), copypasta, and chain messages to the Spamming rule.
  • Added exceptions to the spamming rule.
  • The Advertising rule has been changed. From now on players will be able to share their social networks, and invite links to their Discord servers in their forum signatures.

We encourage you all to read our updated rules by clicking here.

We will continue to make adjustments, if necessary, and the minor ones will be reported in the #changelogs channel on our Discord server.

I agree with your point, criticising the actions of the CubeCraft team shouldn't be considered as swearing, and, by extent, not punishable. I think a player should be punished only if their message content is offensive and disrespectful, but not if it criticises a decision of the staff team using an appropriate vocabulary at all times.

I think "derogatory" could be reworded as it means disrespectful but at the same time critical and criticism is obviously allowed but being "offensive and disrespectful" as said above shouldn't be allowed of course - I think there's better words that could'ce been used as it's clearly confusing people, im assuming criticism is still allowed?

What counts as such, and why specifically to Team CubeCraft?
There is a clear difference between criticism and being downright rude. For example, if I say "I think that x process needs to change, because I don't think it's working for x reason" counts as criticism, but saying "x process needs to change because the team is horrible lol this person needs to quit L noob" is clearly derogatory and does not incite any meaningful change.

It's worth noting that a fair amount of Team CubeCraft are volunteers, so not much work is expected out of them. They shouldn't be disrespected as such - they are doing a lot of this out of the kindness of their heart. We often review our internal processes to all our teams, and if there is change that is clearly necessary, we will do it.

If you have a problem with someone on Team CubeCraft, there are avenues which you can report these members at. But going into a public thread or server, saying "i hate this person" and "this person should quit because they false banned me" is a hugely immature outlook to try and incite some change for the server. We are all open to feedback, but as such, it needs to be done respectfully and not out of spite or hatred.
