Welcome to our EggWars Event! ​

Normally we don't create threads for our community hosted events, except for this one. We want to do this rather big and we've got some exciting prizes for the winners!
This thread will help you to participate, and provides you with all the information you should know about the event!

This Tournament will be livestreamed on YouTube!​

Event Information:​

When?​

This event will take place on Saturday 14/11/2020. The Solo Games are spread out over the day starting at 8PM GMT.
(We will make a schedule depending on the amount of people that sign up).

Game & Version!​

This event will take place on the JAVA network. Also, you're only able to participate on 1.9 or above!

How will it work?​

Games:​

We will organise a pool and knockout system. With an ideal amount of 16 teams of 1 we will separate them into 4 pools. Each team will fight everyone in their allocated pool ONCE. If there is a draw in the pool, whoever won the previous fight against their opponent will move through to the semi finals. Once all pool games are done, we will have a 4 player bracket. They will compete until there is a winner. The 2 losers will also compete for third place.This may change depending on the turnout of the event.

The Tournament!​

Depending on how many people will be able to help out, during the pool phase we will aim to have an average of 2 parallel games although more would be better. There will be 6 games in each pool and 4 pools, leading to 24 total games. With 4 people helping run those games, we can make this phase seem like 6 games one after the other if everything runs smoothly. Then in the knockout stage, we will only have 1 game happening at a time, since this is a critical stage. If people do want to watch, we could potentially screen share the helpers screens since they will be in the matches.
