Is it just me or is the knock-back on skywars so much different then any other server?, it seems like i get hit way further even when w-tapping. Anyone else notice this?

1.8, its weird my hits have a max of 5 reach but everyone else gets crazy 7 blocks on me lol

I play 1.8 quite often and I sometimes have this problem too. I don’t really know why people got so much knockback.

This is because of the players that live too far away from the host(France); people will get less knockback and a longer reach than usual.

For the rest; I haven't noticed this yet, this is maybe because I'm a 1.9+ player.

Yup, there is much more knock back on Cube than on other servers in 1.8 from what I have experienced. My main way of getting kills is also knocking people in the void.
In 1.9 it is not that different.

Players in France don't have high ping? That from the US or Turkey, ...
And players get weird kb in 1.8 because the kb in 1.8 is broken. If you hit faster you get more kb if you're sprinting this and that. It's really weird. The 7 block reach is lag or hacks

Depends on the players ping, people who live in South America have a high ping and barely take any knockback.

There are several ways in 1.8 to give more knockback.
For example by spamming your sprint button if you are in a fight
And as mentioned above, it can also be due to people's ping

Yes i agree sometimes people almost take no knockback and punch you like 10 blocks from them (java) i think it has to do with the 1.9 combat system or the combo they have cause sometimes they seem to hit further than you can do.
