Keep in mind that they don't have a large team and many of them are inactive. I saw on another thread that /report gets used around 2,000 times a day. That amount of reports is unmanageable for them at the moment. And it's unrealistic to expect this to change any time soon. Regardless, the most recent changes to the staff requirements were the first step into making the staff team grow faster than what it used to. With more flexible and almost non-existant quantitative requirements. This means that we can expect a noticeable growth in the staff team in the future months. Since they have set up a goal of 100 active staff members by the end of the year.

I do agree that perhaps they could concentrate more of their efforts more into dealing with the situation. Since the playercount has risen so much it's only logical that their presence and coverture rises as well. But you cannot expect them to be forced to do anything, after all they're volunteers. But I do feel like even if they're volunteers, they have some responsibilities, and the staff team should be in the position of demanding greater in-game activity to a reasonable extent.

Also, you cannot expect to have hackers banned 24/7 because unfortunately most of the staff team lives in Europe. And there's a very reduced amount of people that live in the America's timezones. But then again, there's no immediate solution to this other than waiting a few months for there to be more active staff members.

About labymod, the reason why it's not accepted as evidence is because there's a way to edit player's names. Which means you can recreate false evidence, which would result in the incorrect punishments of innocent players.

I invite you to look at the latest helpers, and the newest moderators. They all fit within a certain "profile" that's really hard to find. Not every user who wants to be a helper is qualified for the job or has shown evidence of them being so. It's not like CubeCraft can start hiring anyone who has a desire to posess that staff rank, they've already made changes flexible enough to ensure a fast and effective growth in their personnel.

The best solution for the problem you're proposing with an understandable frustration is, recording and reporting the hackers. Only this way do you make sure they get the punishment they deserve. I know that most of the responses you've gotten sound kinda like this:

  • Sentinel has its flaws yes, but you can report hackers on the web! You only gotta record the player, upload it to youtube, and file the report. Pretty easy right? It most definitely doesn’t interrupt your gameplay at all.
  • Reporting on the website is too tedious? We got you covered! You can report hackers in-game, although it probably will never be attended. If you wanna make sure they end up being punished, record and report! Your round of EggWars is guaranteed to be ruined regardless!
But... it's being worked on, and that's all that can be done about it for now.

Is the damage indectator important for you in your fights? Because if you can pvp without that try another mod/client and start making reports with that.

And another tip on /report, if you were right and they are banned, then that /report will be given back to you. If the player was innocent, the report could not verify or it was automatically closed then that report is taken away for that day

Focusing on the last part of what you said as I understand what you said above it. I know, I still have 2 reports out of 3 after reporting about 8 people in game today, but I lost one because it was automatically closed / not responded to. The others were banned by sentinel and 1 staff member I believe. But it's the fact it took sentinel up to 30-40 minutes for the ban to occur, and the staff ban only happened once which concerns me.

I have recording software, Nvidia Shadow Play, it's good; I upload reports to my channel often, due to Laby it's declined. I am looking for a new client but the health is important to me at times* to add realism, for example: If I was attacking somebody in real life, I can see progressively as they get more injured due to physical appearance; this covers it.

I will try find a new client as previously stated, but it doesn't negate the original point of this thread. it was originally mentioned short term until we get a new anti-cheat system and Covid-19 blows over so the player count decreases, decreasing the amount of exploiters on at once, and therefore reducing the need for staff presence. Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures.

Regards,
Jack.

I appreciate the time taken on this response. I agree with most of the things you say; I didn't know about the goal, which thank you for notifying me of.

As for the main thing, as they've done with translators, is advertise slightly more different timezone based helper positions (such as language like translators), mainly temporary as previous mentioned in my replies to this thread, for those reasons of unprecedented times call for reasonable unprecedented measures.

It's at the stage where it's ruining a lot of peoples gameplay, especially sky wars, majority of the games I've been on contain 1-2 exploiters that fly, anti-kb, etc.

It's an issue that a short-term resolution what doesn't take too much work with a couple of senior dedicated staff to oversee to set up a task force to tackle these issues until a long term solution such as a new sentinel can be coded for, trailed used.

Jack.

Senior moderators already have a important job: helper applications. It is true that IceScreams is the helper application manager, but the Sr.Mods certenly also give their toughts on Helper applications.

I have a suggestion to an issue that URGENTLY needs to be addressed.

The Problem? Don't deny it, there's a MASSIVE exploit / hack problem on Cubecraft, especially Skywars. We NEED staff online 24/7 to ensure that any exploiters are solved.

Why? Well, it's necessary - during the unprecedented season of Covid-19, there's been an influx in new players to the server. Whilst this is absolutely amazing, it seems the current staffing levels are unable to keep up with reports of hackers, since in game reports expire before they're solved and exploiters who fly and bhop, anti-kb etc get away with no punishment.

Solution? Therefor, we need a DEDICATED team to stop exploiters / hackers, not just the regular moderation team since there's not enough of them to solve this issue alone. A dedicated team would hire volunteers from different timezone and punish / have unlimited reports to stop the problem of hackers. I play this server a lot, especially Skywars, I ensure that any exploiters are reported as I do with one day to join the Helper team; I reach the report limit (3) continuously due to inaction of the moderation team; I then proceed to be told to report WITH EVIDENCE on the report site (https://reports.cubecraft.net/report) only for them to BE DECLINED because I use LabyMod launcher, even though there's CLEAR video evidence.

I am NOT criticising the moderation team, they're AMAZING at what they do, keep it up. But we MUST have new staff to deal with this growing problem, it's an issue only getting worse with sometimes 2+ exploiters in a single game!

I rest my case; I am open to any questions about structure of this team and so forth in the reply's of this thread. Feel free to ask away!

Best regards,
Jack.
Nice idea, most of the time I report someone the report closed because there isn’t enough staff online to check all the reports.
I hope they accept more staff at the applications.
