Why do some maps show up more often than others?

There always seems to be multiple games using "hillside", "valley", or "portals" map running, while I see "highhills", and "pandorafalls" once a week.

Why?

It really depends on luck, I guess, sometimes some nice skywars maps are online with 5 at a time (uh idk if that sentence made sense) but sometimes the stupid maps are :/

Unlikely. I've played Tower Defense every day for a month, and my observations are consistent, so it can't be luck.

Why?

I don’t see those maps much either, but I don’t mind. If you play certain annoying maps over and over, you get used to it.

You just said that you see pandora falls much less often than hillside, which correlates to my observations as well. So how can it just be probability?


If it was just probability, then all maps should appear at around the same frequency, more or less.
