What can be done about an "automatically closed" case?

As a moderator locked my last post for some reason, I still have questions. Does automatically closed mean that they just get away? Just curious... as if you send a report I would think it would get a bit more looked into...

If there's no available to review the report, the report will be closed as mentioned. Or if the player is not online, the report will be closed as well. This does mean that they may get away from a punishment. You'd also have to keep in mind that there are thousands of reports made each week, we won't always be able to review them if we don't have the time.
