Trouble with witch farm

I made a witch farm to get the 75 k glowstone mission. But now every time I collect glowstone from the chests in the nether I get no progress on the mission. Can someone help me what I do wrong. I dont use fire or anything like that. Just drop them on hoppers and then in a chest.

Whenever the item falls into a hopper in the nether it immediately counts towards the quests. This is why you don't get any progress when taking it out of the chest (since it's already accounted for).

Yeah, you won't see the progress bar pop up on your screen but if you click on the quest in your menu, you'll see that it has updated
