Trophy Points

I never understood the point of trophy points and what they were for. Are they used for anything?

 

[Power Ranger]

They are just fancy internet points like likes and messages. They have no use other than to get on the trophies section of "members" for a little bit.

 

[A pigeon]

They are used to make childeren happy when they post on forums , makes them feel like they've achieved something i guess. Proof is in the pudding - wannabes , people posting that they got 10000 likes or 10000 messgaes etc.
