Why is the lobby full of npcs with marketplace items and why did the ranks change to 90 day ranks

When i go into the lobby, i see lots of npcs with marketplace items and whats the point of buying 90 day ranks if it doesnt give me much.

They have done this action because they want the player to enjoy playing more, where if you buy life time pass it will be 1 time only and u'll get only 750 VXP, Overall now when ever the pass finish and you buys another one you will receive 750 VXP each time you buy the pass.
