TeamSkywars Tournament

Hello cubecrafters! Today I would like to make an interesting suggestion. Well, it's the following:

My proposal would be to do a tournament on TeamSkywars (Pacman map) (obviously 4 teams). The winners would take some special head,or some glass color, or 2$ to spend in the store, this can be chosen by the Staff.
Sounds weird, but it would be fun. It would be 4 teams of 8 players if i remember correctly. If there are not at least 6, that equipment is totally eliminated.

I support official tournaments led by Cubecraft any day. Though I think how you planned the tournament working should be changed a bit. It seems short and low key. A new glass color seems like a nice prize. Or a new hat. :P

Back on topic though, I doubt cube will ever do any 'official' tournaments, they are too much effort to run and most of the time they just die out. I used to do Eggwars tournaments, but people could just never get their fights done due to time zones, it ruined the experience as it ended up in just sending out endless PM's with no response.

Some of the tournaments were successful though, but most of it was just a hassle. As for prizes, I highly doubt cube will pay out for prizes for competitions they are not officially running, so unless the prize is coming out of your own pocket, then you're out of luck. Best thing you can offer is a sense of achievement.

As for setting up tournaments, I recommend using a google form, this way you can gather basic information and have a choice of who enters (to ensure it's not a one message wonder person). For actually arranging the brackets, use a website called "Challonge" (yes, with an "o"). If you have any questions, PM me. Good luck for anyone wishing to try tournaments, but just remember that it isn't all fun and games.

P.S Good luck getting a team tournament together, the chance of getting 2 people online at the same time is hard, let alone teams of people.

In case you do not have 8 friends to play with? Because I do, and I think most people do too, it's a little silly, it's easy, you hang a photo with all the time zones at the time the tournament is played and that's it. I think it could work perfectly, just missing some details.
