Spawner spawn time changed?

Spawners when placed down had like 30 seconds (around that) delay then mobs would start spawning. I’m not saying it had anything to do with this but it seems like around the time of the recent glitch, when I put down spawners now mobs immediately spawn. I assume this change was intentional? I’m just curious is all.
