Shops wont place

Minecraft bedrock edition: whenever i try to place a shop it gives me the message: "Failed to place a shop: You cannot place a shop in the air." Like huh? obviously im in the air this is SKYblock i can't even place it on any of the main islands! Any help? Or is this another one of the MANY bugs atm?

I would recommend you to quickly change the prefix of this Thread to "Bedrock".
This can be done by editing your initial post, and clicking on the small space left of your title
This will make it easier to find when someone later on has the same problem!

How did you fix it. I play on bredrock too on my Ps4 and it keeps on saying that same thing. I made a new slot thinking it would fix it and it didn't. And it keeps on annoying me because it says that its in the air.

Yeah I've just started getting this problem also. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug. It let's me place my shop on my other islands but not the one I spawned on or on any block I place.

You can try standing on top of a bottom slab and placing the shop there
