There hasn't been any maps added to SG since 2023, as far as I can tell at least. The few maps that are on there are feeling boring and overplayed for people who play daily. Other games constantly get new maps added, but SG seems forgotten. When will there be a new map added and what will it take?

Today on cc SG is one of the least played mini games on the server and it hasn't received major updates for years now, and I could explain it in a few factors
1- Skywars being more competitive and fun than SG: skywars is basically SG but it has the void in it, and people find SW more fun to play than SG due to SW maps being smaller, much more fast paced as well as more aiming skill involved unlike SG
2- other gamemodes stealing the lightspots from SG: people tend to play Bedwars, Blockwars, eggwars, skywars etc... So it's one of the main reasons why SG is not as popular as the rest of the other gamemodes
3- lack of updates and development in SG: due to low playercounts in SG (300 players play SG at peak times) cc devs also tend to update and focus more on popular gamemodes around the network and develop them as well as giving them new maps

As far as I'm concerned due to low player counts and server focusing on the other much more better and high player count gamemodes, there is a small(if not no chance) of SG receiving a proper update
