seen this suggestion and many people disagree with this because they resigned for a reason.

I personally think that it's not necessary a special rank for retired Staff Members. I think that the Creeper Miniature it's enough, a little gift to remember his career, but a special rank would be very annoying for them, players would target them and I think that they don't want this anymore.

Keep up thinking in good suggestions to improve the server. :)

I would actually like if retired Mods/Sr Mods/Admins etc. were allowed to keep their Creeper Miniature. As a little gift for the things they did for the Server. For speeding countless days and night working hard to keep this server enjoyable for most of us.
Even though they're doing this voluntarily, it's an act of kindness and gratitude.

Mojang staff keep their capes when they leave Mojang.
Personally, I think it should be up to the player if they want it or not. But eh, that's just my opinion.

I don't think this is necessary. This would drive unwanted attention to staff as mentioned MANY times above. Cool that you're being kind though :).
