I think you misunderstood me.

I do not find it necessary to have a counter on the forums. However, I still think that the counter is a fun thing to have here on the forums.
Therefore I do not like your suggestion and awarded it with a downvote.

No , this thread wants message counters (which already exist btw ) to get removed.
Its not about adding them in.

But TBH, I don't think it's necessary for it to be removed.

Message counters allows a form of reliability with the member -- for example, a new player joins the forums, wanting to know some information, and creates a thread enquiring about something. A member with (let's say) 1000 messages responds, the person who asked the question will lean more towards the answer of that member instead of a member with 50 messages due to reliability.

Following players doesn't attract "no-lifers", following is all in control of the members, they can follow who they want for their own reasons.

Therefore, I am against this idea.
