I understand the need for it in the randomly-generated map survival games, because you need time to go to a position, get your team together, get supplies, ect ect. In a hunger games fashion, were a group of chests are waiting in the center, the whole point of that initial gathering and scrambling for good loot in the beginning is pretty much taken away with this grace period. You should feel your adrenaline going when you're running towards the center, grabbing your stuff while watching people around you punch each other, that is what hunger games is all about. Instead, it is only a race to see who can grab items faster and still have time afterwards to either follow someone who didn't pick up a sword or make their way to the next location in a fairly small map with plenty of time. TL;DR grace period only makes sense for a randomly generated map survival games. Otherwise, the challenge is greatly diminished. Love to hear what you think, peace.
