For starters... the islands are way too square. Definitely needs work on that. The walls of the castles need a lot more detail, and your block palette isn't very good.

I hate to be mean but there's no advice I can really give you to improve it, maybe try a different theme you might be better at it. This map is soooooo simple, just try to be creative when making a map, and not go minimal on details
