Nether

I am 5 gold blocks away from the nether so, before i go there i wanted to know some things
1. Do gold boots work if there is any piglins?
2. Is it really hard with quests?
3. How many islands are there?
4. If you were to rate its difficulty, how would you say it for example, 1-10
5. How long do crops take (more or so the crops on the 1st island)

1. The server runs on 1.9 or 1.10 so there are only pigmen, no piglins.
2. The quests are fairly hard (especially when you unlock island 3)
3. 4 islands in total
4. 8, it is very grindy
5. There are no crops on the first island have a look at one of the sticky threads called “islands, boosters and more” which contains information about when you unlock what.

I wouldn't say difficult, but definitely grindy/tedious
