convert most of everything to farmland
farmland is one of the most important things. Not only does it allow to get quests much more easily, it also allows you to get a lot of money in the late game.
im on the savanna island (7th island) and I make around 1 mil coins per 2 hours with a melon farm made by 20 stacks of dirt (because you can buy dirt for 100 coins).
unfortunately, it isn’t afk money. You have to actually mine all the melons by hand, which slows it down a little.

Also, make a sufficiently large mob farm/grinder early on. It‘s easier to get exp then. On the 2nd or 3rd island, you unlock some spawners, and you can complete quests from later islands easier by making a mob farm to kill them quicker.

Today, something awesome happened! I had just mined over 90 iron and coal in skyblock. Then, I put them in 2 furnaces. I had to leave for a few seconds, so I went to the lobby and left. When I came back, ALL OF THEM WERE GONE. The three signs I placed, all the iron and coal, gone. NO ONE WAS ONLINE. I have to get them again, I suppose. At that point, I was thinking about my existence and how my luck is so good! :D
