My minecraft fps keep stuck at 1fps
And keeps freezing pleasehelp

Press ESC > Options > Video Settings. Is your ''Max Framerate'' on unlimited?

Make sure that you don't have loads of programs running in the background.

Sometimes, after playing hours you may have to restart your minecraft or restart your pc.

Also consider installing Optifine, as it may help boost your fps.

1_Install Optifine

2_Make Sure All of your setting in the video settings tab are all low every thing is on Fast and Particles: Minimal, etc....

3_Make Sure That There's no running Programs in the background

For one, it could just be your computer. But, you can try installing Optifine to help with your fps. Also, try setting your frame rate to unlimited.

Why would or even can it damage the graphics card? A graphics card is made to play games smooth, so why would it be bad for the graphics card?

The only way it could damage a graphics card is if it overheated, but before causing physical damage the driver would either cause the cooling system to speed up, or reduce the graphics card's load (which may be the bottleneck causing this player's lag).

Or install optufine and turn off some of the particles.
