Although people talk about colonising different planets in our solar system such as Mars, I just don’t see it happening.
Apparently the furthest we’ve been is the Moon, but It’s questionable whether the landing on the moon was fake (which I think it is).
The planets in our solar system are too different to the conditions we’ve adapted to with living on Earth. For example, Mars doesn’t have a thick enough atmosphere to protect us from the radiation the sun emits, plus the temperature is too cold. Venus on the other hand has such a thick atmosphere which makes it scorchingly hot, and the gravitational pull the planet has on itself would crush you instantly if you were to step onto the planet. Plus it rains sulphuric acid, which obviously isn’t nice.
I know there are other planets that may be somewhat ‘suitable’ to possible support life. But think about it, if this planet cannot support life on Earth as efficiently as it used to (mainly due to mankind) for us to have to move to another planet, then how would another planet support life any better.
No planet can possibly have better conditions for us to live on than the Earth has. That’s because we’ve evolved over millions of years and adapted to live in these specific conditions. Yet we’re still struggling on this planet.
The sun will lose all its hydrogen to fuse into helium in around 5 billion years, so it will become unstable and swell into a red giant. The Earth is screwed then, and by then I believe humans will become extinct - if we carry on the way we are anyway.
Space is our home, it’s all around us, the atmosphere of our planet is the only thing that separates and protects us from space. The solar system is just a bunch of planets orbiting the sun from its own gravitational pull - just like all the other stars we see in the sky, the same thing happens.
I don’t think any of the planets are suitable in our solar system for colonisation, and the closest star apart from our sun is 4 light years away which means that if we somehow created a machine to transport us to the equivalent of traveling around the Earth 7.5 times in a second (the speed of light) then it would still take 4 years to reach that star (for the search of potential planets to colonise.
Come on, you really think we’re going to advance that much in the time we may have left alive, (not saying we won’t) but there’s a lot of evidence suggesting we won’t. Like, it’s 2018 and we haven’t even found a cure for cancer yet.

But yeah, there are many unanswered questions and mysteries of the universe. It’s so big, vast, and we’re just a really small dot amongst trillions of stars just in our galaxy - and there’s billions of galaxies out there. The stars we see in the night sky are all in our galaxy, it’s crazy. Interesting stuff!

In one of the hundreds of videos I watched, one video was talking about the colonization of the solar system
What if this is actually our goal?
We will go extinct probably within the next one billion years
What if the whole universe is some kind of game and we are supposed to colonize our solar system and eventually the entire universe
Within the next 1.5 billion years, the habitable zone will move outwards. The surface temperature of Mars during these times will resemble the Earth during the last ice age: warm enough to support life
