Sometimes on the suggestions board, 1.8 players will make threads like this one (link) to express their desire for more 1.8 games and/or their dislike of 1.9. These threads typically result in arguing and toxicity, and nothing good comes from it in the end.
My suggestion is to make a single thread for the discussion of Minecraft versions. This way there will be less toxicity as the threads made talking about older versions will be redirected there, and 1.8 players won't be completely ignored either as their concerns can be collected into one thread.
I've tried to be impartial in this post, so I hope there isn't much heat generated in the replies. I've left a poll at the top, and please reply if you feel strongly either way.
