Java I have a question

So I played a few games where my only weapon is the efficiency 8 pickaxe and to kill players I just sneaked to them and broke the blocks below them. However I noticed that sometimes they stay on the same place without falling for like 2-3 seconds and then they finally fall in the void. Are they hackers? Or is the server lagging?
Or is it a bug?

Hello, that's probably server lag, as it takes 2-3 seconds to take the action. If they were actually hackers, they would move (fly).

There are several possibilities.

• - That the player has hacks.
• - That it is a bug or that the player abuses some bug.
• - Or that the server has been lagging.
