Yeah, it's been happening relatively frequently in my games. I've usually been lucky enough that the other person leaves when it's just us two instead of making me quit when I've basically already won. I also made a bug report, and it seems they're already well aware and working on the issue.

Looks like this is going to be my first birthday where I'm on holiday when it happens. I'm still in the UK. Won't be going back home until the 18th (we extended our stay). My birthday is on May 12. This will be a special one :)
