Hopefully it made you improve a bit.
- Full Diamond armour, look for the best protection available.
- 2 Bows, 1 Power enchanted and 1 punch enchanted. Arrows aswell. Save the tipped ones for later.
- 2 Swords, 1 Sharpness and other with Fire Aspect. Consider the highest levels of enchantment.
- Golden apples, you'll get alot of them. They are your main food.
- Blocks. Either go for 64 Wood and 64 stone, or go for 128 wood or 128 stone.
- Another supply of food, just incase you don't get enough Golden Apples.
- A shield, if you can. The Crafting recipe is here. http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Shield
- 1 water bucket and 1 Lava bucket.
- Good pickaxe, maybe high level of enchant.
- Some PvP skills.
- First off, you don't wanna get shot off by another guy with a punch bow. Even though they nerfed it, it's still lethal.
- Secondly, use your Enderpearls wisely. If you get any, make sure to go to mid, it's not worth going for the kills at the start.
- If you're not good on gear, I suggest you either mine for it, or just get kills.DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT FULL ARMOUR.
- If you're looking for gear, and you have Enderpearls, GO TO MID.
- Make sure to have blocks at all times, you never know when to hide from a punch-bow-er(?)
- Whatever you do, DO NOT CAMP.(Skybase on the top, lava covering you, in a unkillable position.)IT IS AGAINST THE RULES TO CAMP.
- If you're playing on Team, work together. Make one to shield you if you're building to mid.
Situation where you and few people are left.

- Stay calm. It's okay to lose, you've made it this far. You can try again.
- Never team with the opposition, nor truce. If there is a Hacker, You might want to record him, and if he's not a good one, you may try to take him down. Do know that if you're taking down a hacker, it doesn't immediately mean you win. So don't really try and team up in Solo. If the same situation arises on Team, use teamwork and do not CrossTeam.
- Drink alot of water. It sure does help. (InRealLife XD)
- If you think the opponent is more geared and ready, trust your gut and don't take a chance. If you think you can take him down, go ahead.
- Make sure to use your lava and water buckets wisely. You only get 1 chance.
- If you and your opponent (1v1 situation) are on the same bridge, you might want to get out of the bridge onto a better position. The worst position to fight is on a bridge. They could easily knock you off.
- Use your bows. They are the best in OP mode. Remember a Power bow could take down a opponent in 3-4 hits.
