But why doesn't Mojang care about the fact that, by not enforcing their EULA, people are ripping them off?

The same issue happened with 1.8. The creator of Optifine was the one who pointed out all the problems with 1.8. I thought after the 1.8 lag fiasco, 1.9 would be better...

And some Mojang developers got salty and called Optifine a "hack". Hehehehe was pretty funny how their egos showed up and got exposed by the Optifine creator. The root of the problem is that the game is coded with java. The Minecraft Windows 10 crap coded in C, although that Minecraft version has an impressive performance, is not a solution because is exclusive to that OS.

Mojang (like every server owner) only cares about money and doesn't care about Minecraft in general.
