Hi,
ignore the title, couldn't come up with a great name.

Came up with a little game concept, not my idea, saw it for the first time in a Mindcrack UHC series idk which one.
I don't think the server is in need of a new gamemode, although some refreshment would be nice :p
I'm not going to write a huge thread explaining the entire game and all it's features because that'd A. be boring and B. useless. I'd rather just throw out the concept and see what the community thinks.

Here we go:
between 20-30 players join the game, the average game will probably last from 20-60 minutes so you can't really call it a minigame anymore. Everyone spawns in the same survivalworld, starts mining etc. (Starting to look like UHC I know but that game's great anyways so hear me out). The goal of the game is simple: Kill the enderdragon. Everyone simply plays Survival, finds the portal (which could be on the surface I guess but to prevent end-game trolling I figure it should be somewhat hidden within the map's boundaries).
I like my survival playthroughs with a teammate, so I guess you could join in teams but I really like the concept of joining solo, and finding a teammate midway through. Say you spawn with an item to befriend someone, once you use it on each other you're in a team. This also leaves multiple strategies to be used from the start (either gearing up fast, then find a teammate, or run around on the surface in hopes of finding someone).
Naturally, if you join with a friend you could simply search for each other by coöordinates or biomes or whatever.
If you kill someone, their loot drops but they do respawn.

Ender Dragon fight could be made faster or more easy.

Could be played in UHC, I wouln't really mind tbh.

As I said, just a concept, huge flaws but again, I'd rather just throw it out there first and see if it's liked in the first place :)

Yee, it’s not a bad concept. But, are we able to kill people while fighting the ender dragon or just only kill the ender dragon? I feel there could be some more excitement on the game.

I like the fight the ender dragon idea.
I would remove the mining thing and make it just a cooperative 4 players game -> no PvP, just PvE, with kits and items votes - normal or op - . Players spawn in a chests room (2 minutes) to get items. After that, everyone is teleported to the dragon fight arena. If you die, you cannot respawn. :thinking:

I don’t see how this game idea is in any way original, it’s just normal survival but making the End easier to find. How are you supposed to regulate the amount of time players take to kill the Ender Dragon? I know that many other games like SkyWars and EggWars don’t have a time limit but they’re made in a way that makes the game ending inevitable to end eventually. This game seems like it could take painfully long amounts of time, which is why I’d suggest adding a timer, to make the game more intense and to avoid having hours long matches.
Second thing that would make the game too boring to want to play it is finding resources, I know that the game is supposed to feel like survival, but the survival experience can be made faster-paced. Perhaps making ores easier to find, and make them smelt automatically once you break them?

Another thing that could be done is just skipping the entire survival part, and making it a “kill the Ender Dragon” minigame, and make it somewhat like Hypixel zombies, based on waves, and unlocks. Perhaps give the game a sense of progression, so players have to continue to unlock better gear and better weapons to survive the upcoming waves. Those enemy waves could be attacks from End mobs like endermites, endermen, shulkers, etc. Now that just made the game a whole lot more complicated, but I think that it’d be an awesome game to play.

Edit: I was already writing my response and I didn’t see Gato’s. Sorry ;-; seems like we had similar ideas xd

Never said it was, I'd just like some extra fun stuff to do on Cube besides bridging from island to island and taking out the other teams.

Ye thats what I Was thinking, didn't write it down.

Might be misunderstanding you here but sounds like Tower Defence, I like it tho.

Without the PvP, it's just an ol' dragon fight. Players sabotaging each other whilst trying to beat the game has proven to be a really tense and fun gamemode. It'd be a shame to delete all that.

Both initial gear from chests and kits or a higher percentage of ores in the ground seem fine tho.
