I wanted to bring up an issue that’s been affecting fair gameplay on the server: the use of custom texture packs to gain an unfair advantage. Right now, some players are using packs that let them see other players’ item durability, sword sharpness, pickaxe efficiency, and even how many golden apples they’re carrying. This kind of visibility undermines PvP balance and takes away from the competitive integrity of the game.
Proposed Solution: To level the playing field, I suggest we include custom textures for swords, pickaxes, golden apples, and armor directly in the server’s resource pack. This would override any client-side textures for these specific items, making it impossible to distinguish gear stats or inventory contents just by looking.
Yes, I understand some players might be upset about not being able to use their full personal packs. But we’re only talking about four item types—this shouldn’t drastically affect anyone’s experience. Plus, there are some really cool Bedrock PvP textures out there that could be adapted for this purpose. They look great and still keep things fair.
