Also if poison and insta damage gets removed, up the price of golden apples to 250-500 coins each.

The biggest problem is that players buy 30 instant damage potions and just spam throw them at diamond players, sometimes they even have a teammate or a couple of teammates who also throw instant damage. Not really anyway to escape this unless you're lucky, and how much does an instant damage potion cost? Only 20 coins, how much does full diamond cost? 2770 coins including a diamond sword. An instant damage potion deals 3 hearts of damage if you hit the person right, let's say you'll mis some etc. so you'd need about 20 potions to kill someone, 20x20=400. That's a cheap set of diamond if you ask me.. Removing instant damage from the shop would probably take around a minute..

I agree with the points you've made. Changing/improving these things would improve assasinations.
