Fishing rod lure 6 glitch?

So after i upgraded the fishing rod to level 6 there is suddenly no fish in my pond. We have other fishing rods wich works as intended but the upgraded one does not. Any advice?

Its probably because lure 5 is a max enchant in normal minecraft and the devs might have forgotten that after you get nether you can get up too lvl 15 items idk it's just my theory

Sorry for the necro post, but just in case anyone stumbles across this and thinks its fixed, it isnt, dont upgrade rod past lure lvl 5

Yes, and to level 8 (which is the max).

Ok so guys I did some research on the rod timing and other stuff and what I found was this

Normal rod 5- 30 seconds
Lure 1 5-25 seconds
Lure 2 5-20 seconds
Lure 3 5-15 seconds
Lure 4 5-10 seconds
Lure 5 5 seconds

Each lvl of lure deceases the time of waiting by 5 seconds

But if lure 5 = 5seconds
Lure 6 = 0seconds which doesn't work because you would be waiting 0 seconds lol

So lure 7 = -5 seconds
And lure 8 = -10 seconds

And my explanation is over hope that helped

This could be the case but around 6 months ago the level 8 rod worked just fine. Finding a fish every 3 seconds I believe. They have altered something in the meantime.

Well it could be quite possible that they have altered something or it could be your version idk but I wasn't on cubecraft 6 months ago so I wouldn't know so I did my research and came up with that.
