Fastest way to make profit?

So basically the title says it all!

Just want to open a discussion about the ways to maximize profit currently :)

What Stablish said is a good way to get coins, if you are not there, you maybe can sell cactus, wood, food, wheat, seeds, beetroot, like that.

I suggest making a cocoa bean farm if you're already at that point. If you aren't you could make a wheat farm which is also pretty efficient. And if you have skeleton spawners you should make a farm with that to sell the bones from that. i found that the best way to make money is plant as many melons as possible, whilst this is up and running you can work on building an auto cacti farm that breaks themselves falls into water then fills up a chest though a hopper you can make this as large as you like and it will be the fastest way to make money. also think about an auto mob spawner that you can get all mobs in one place after a fall to get them weak you can one hit them which is a great way to gain xp
