Does an entity limit exist or can I have all me Spawner compacted in a single area? And if I have a mob farm at the world height limit will the mobs spawn despite being a very long way away from me? And how close do I have to be to the Spawners for mobs to spawn?

Entity limit does exist, somehere near 600 spawners working at once. No the Y doesnt matter, i think 32 blocks

I think 32 blocks? So how exactly am I supposed to make a grinder that makes mobs die of fall damage if the limit is 32 blocks?
