Coding EggWars Spawn Protection!

So the new game EggWars is very enjoyable! But, I noticed a piece of the coding that I didn't really enjoy. It was the spawn protection. When you would kill someone then they would respawn, they were able to hit you, but you weren't able to hit them. I don't know if it is supposed to be like this. I also dislike the spawn protection. I always end up killing the person then right after I get punched off because I can't hit the other player.

Eh, the spawn protection gives them a chance to defend their egg, I dont really see the problem with it considering that they barely do any damage.
