Java Does anyone want featured games to be back on CubeCraft Java again?

Every time I log on to Cube java edition I just think that it will be so good if they add featured games again. You know... the Survival Games, Battlezone, Quakecraft.

Even if it were to be revived in Java edition. It would be difficult to attract many people.

Replacing the 1.21 pvp system with 1.8 would alienate of lot of current cubecraft players. Cubecraft is one of the biggest 1.21 PVP EU servers. The only reason to pick cubecraft over a server like Hypixel is for it's niche differences: being modern Minecraft PVP and EU.

Other reasons people play Cubecraft are the community, as seen in FFA where it is more like a group chat than an everyone for themselves. As well as unique gamemodes, seen in Pillars of Fortune where the viral marketing of short form content has propelled it to Cubecraft's most popular gamemode. Moving to 1.8 would break the current communities and would heavily limit Pillars of Fortune's random item selection.

Lastly, although Cubecraft is not a very popular server, it has shown significant growth since a few years ago, going from average 600-800 players to now average 1100-1500 players. This was heavily influenced by the new gamemode Pillars of Fortune - thus proving a well marketed unique gamemode can show success. As for the start of this thread: the featured games, we already have those in the form this regularly added new games of Bedwars, Disasters and of course Pillars of Fortune. Whilst signiture gamemodes in featured games were fun for the week, updating them to the current versiond seems as difficult as making a new gamemode. Therefore, I think it is unlikely we will see any featured games brought back.

I miss tower defence and survival games. Duels was also an amazing experience. Team skywars, solo eggwars has to come back too.
