Ranks still get to vote in game, I personally just get a bit annoyed when I have to switch lobbies over and over to find a particular map
Ranks also get to choose maps. Doing this would destroy a ranked user's perk.
Maybe they could add a party system for ranked user to replace the old perk.
It is still highly inefficient to have multiple signs for the same map. It just splits players into maps where they have to wait for others or leave

Well, you then have to wait or just join a map. If you don't like it, you can always get a rank.
What about if you have a group of people who don't have ranks, if you use the map selector, they can't join with you. And sometimes the maps take forever to rotate to the one you want.
Well always remember that it is a donor-only perk. You can't get rid of it just cuz one stone doesn't want it.

But first, you're asking them to take a rank's privileges. Think about how much complaining there would be and how many requests for refunds there would be. There wouldn't be a reason for there to be the iron rank at all.
There isn't much of a difference from emerald to obby. All that changes is friend limit, weekly bonus, and a different prefix. Besides, most people go for gold. Also, the map selection for ranks isn't like a dedicated sign. It just shows you all the maps out there in all the lobbies. If there is no game in any lobby, you have to still wait for one to cycle through.
