It's that time of year around, Christmas Time! - And we have a packed December for you. Snowman Survival is back, Christmas Maps are active, and there's a beautiful Christmas Markets Hub with a Build-the-Snowman Hunt. Read below to learn more.
Christmas Markets Hub + Hunt
For 2025, we went stunning! - Throughout this Cubemas event, our main hub is a Town Square with Christmas Markets! - You'll even find little helpers throughout the Markets. Check it out!
Once again, Cubit requires your attention. Behind spawn, you'll find an incomplete Snowman. You must find the hidden items and rebuild him! Around our hub, there are 20 Snowman-themed items. Every five you collect, the Snowman will rebuild. Be sure to speak with Cubit to review your progress. - If you rebuild the Snowman, you'll get a Hat as a reward!
The Christmas fan favourite is back. Snowman Survival is now available on Java & Bedrock! - With so many maps to choose from, how long will you survive?
This year, we've added Snowman Survival to Private Games on both networks. CubeCraft Gold on Bedrock & Java Diamond Subscription have access along with Map Selection.
Snowman Survival gameplay
At the start of the game, 8 players stand in a circle, and the mysterious Snowman god will pick one of the 8 players to become a Snowman.
Snowman being selected
As a Snowman, you have to throw your snowball. Left or right-clicking gives you a quick throw, with a predefined amount of force. If your throw hits a survivour, they will be converted into a snowman. HOWEVER, as a Snowman, you only get ONE snowball, so use it wisely! If you miss, you'll have to run and fetch the Snowball by walking over it, or wait 5 seconds and it will come back to you automatically.
Snowman POV gameplay
When playing as a survivour, after 30 seconds of being released, you will notice there are powerups scattered around the arena which help you run, leap and teleport away from the Snowmen. Some powerups also allow Survivours to stun, and gravity explodes the Snowmen, as well as trick them with decoy survivours.
Survivour POV gameplay
The first Snowman has the ability to track players with a compass. On Java, survivours glow, on Bedrock, a marker is set on the survivour. If the Snowmen don't convert all the Survivours before the timer ends, they will melt and lose!
If you're wondering how stats work in Snowman Survival, that's simple! You collect Medals. At the end of the game, both the Snowmen and Survivours can earn "Snowman Survival Medals". You'll get medals for the following actions:
- Every 30 seconds you are alive as a Survivour
- Converting a Survivour into a Snowman as a Snowman
- Stunning a Snowman as a Survivour
- Staying alive as a Survivour the whole game
On Bedrock, for the first time, we've added a single trail cosmetic. Fill the lobby with your Snowflakes! - You can grab this from the NPC in the middle of our lobby, our server store, content pack menus or loot menus! + via /gift
Coming later this month, we're adding a Christmas Catalogue to our Wardrobe cosmetics. Exclusive Christmas-themed cosmetics and some new permanent ones, keep an eye out!
