If the required map isn't avaible at that moment, why not make it avaible...
Create your own session lobby with your favoirte map!
Right click the villager to make your selection, and start the session.
If the ability is "too op", why not giving it to people with ranks. Or high-cost rank owners (Diamond, Emerald, Obsidian).

I think that everyone should play every map, even if you don't like them! ;) But this might be a nice feature for the obsidian rank.

I like your idea :) it's nice because I remember I played eggwars and I only wanted to play toys because I hate maps with more players and It's anoying if there is no toys map joinable. I think this might be a emerald+ thing.
I hope they'll add it :D

Well,sometimes people have to play their none favorite maps :( Ive had the same idea but its... yeah.. Not really liked... Aldough i like it!

Good idea for donators! I think this should automatically replace full maps on the boards! This needs to be diamond+ minimum, and should probably be higher.
