The reason some games are featured games is because they wouldn't have the playercount to survive as a game thats always on the network, having it so that the game just comes once every two weeks or so means everyone who likes that game will come on at the same time to play it making games actually start.
I dont believe with cubecraft java's current player count they are in the right position to start bringing back featured games as normal games quite yet
