Please at least have this as an option you can turn on as I have been trying to get diamond on songs andI play through the whole song thinking I did it perfect to realize i missed two notes D:

The miss sound might make you mess up though. Since you failed once you might start panicking/defocus, similar effect to when fighting in pvp at low hp.

yeah but when the notes are going so fast i cant tell if im missing a note or not so i play through the whole song intstead of saving a ton of time by restarting

I was leaning toward either display a "§4MISTAKE!" in chat one time, display red dust on missed notes or the sound one time.

Red dust can be good as it sticks out. I try not to look at my chat when im playing so I'm not sure about the mistake idea. So I would say red dust or the sound :P
