I crafted a shield, but it doesn't absorb or deflect attacks. [Crouching and facing to the enemy] Is this intended?

At this moment in time, the shields are broken. People have already reported this but if you want you can make a bug report here: https://www.cubecraft.net/forums/report-a-bedrock-player-or-bug.88/

Hi,

The reason why you aren't able to use shield is because the server is currently based on the 1.9 version of Minecraft and shields were added in 1.10.(I can't guarantee that this is the reason why shields aren't working but I am fairly confident that this is why shields aren't working)
