Add fishing rods to eggwars

Fishing rod is pretty pointless in 1.9 as it doesn't work. For the moment, I rather not have fishing rods in 1.8. I don't want people to constantly rod spam me, especially since the KB in 1.8 is pretty irrational.

Some people like playing with a fishing rod in 1.8, and I also think it'd be a nice addition but as said above, I don't want people to rod spam.
Bow spam is already bothersome and I think rods will encourage players to spam even more, so no, sorry.

I like your idea! On 1.9 is it useless, but on 1.8 is it very handy. It is very annoying, if a person come closer by your egg and you can't do anything him, because he use a shield. A fishing rod is te perfect equation.

What's your reason to add fishing rods to Eggwars?

I don't agree with your suggestion as fishing rods don't do anything anymore in 1.9+ so they are and will be useless.

That is true now you it say. I disagree we have already bows in 1.8. Fishing rods aren't necessary.

I heard from a friend (thanks @SrKlompenstein :)) what a fishing rod does in 1.8 and I can shortly say that fishing rods are irritating for others in 1.8. That's why I am against this idea.

Maybe only for 1.8. Some players will enjoy it but also a lot will hate it. It might make eggwars also a little bit less friendly to players who are not very good because they can't really handle a rod that well. So it depends on what you care the most about.
