  • We're running an internal migration of all old players' stats to our new highly advanced statistics tracking backend. This means that stat changes will be a bit delayed while we ingest this huge backlog of data. Nothing is being lost, it'll just take a bit longer to show up in the in-game UIs.

A general help channel in addition to #staff-help, should this be implemented?

I would like to suggest a general help channel for players to ask and questions. I think a lot of simple questions asked in #staff-help can be answered by normal players as well, and it is a great opportunity for players to proof their abilities in helping others and use of language.

Also, staff members do not have to answer and thus, notifications by staff members can be turned off, so that they could focus on other things than answering (sometimes) simple questions. It will reduce pressure for staff members.

I know we can already answer from questions in #staff-help, by tagging players who asked something, but that does not reduce pressure for staff members.

I would like to see this implemented, but is is not necessary.

People can already help others by tagging them in a language channel and explaining it there. Besides, even if it's a simple question, some players still like to get an answer from a staff member so they can be sure it's correct. Not saying we don't make mistakes, but it's more reliable.

If you want to help someone, DM them the answer or tag them in another channel and explain it over there, though like I said, some prefer an answer from a staff member, therefore, it's called #staff-help.

But that does not reduce pressure for staff members.

Trust me, pressure is not really an issue. We have great Helpers and Moderators who are active in #staff-help, and even if there would be 10000 staff members, it's still possible some question get lost. If I'm taking a look at it right now, I can see a lot of activity from different staff members.

I disagree. If you want to help someone just tag him in your language channel or send him a pm, but that is not the biggest issue. The biggest issue is that staff members know exactly what they are doing and when you ask someone who doesn't know anything they can give you false information.

Staff members can also give incorrect or outdated information )they are humans after all, but 99% of the time they give correct information. I also know some things about Cubecraft (where to appeal, minecraft information and rules) and i can help people perfectly fine, and i i don't the awnser i just say then go to #staff-help or searc it for myself
