Hey CubeCrafters!

Today we're excited to be announcing an update for our newest game Colony Control! We're glad that people are enjoying this game - it has been great to see all your feedback, and know that we're reading all of it!

🏹 Walls Revamp, Gates & Archer Towers!

After reading feedback and playing public games, we noticed a problem that people didn't really play defensively - everyone would be on the offence after buying all of their armour and weapons, and after dying, would be at a massive disadvantage. To balance this, we've made a few changes!

Now, walls are no longer required to be placed entirely in line with each other, and can be placed diagonally, as long as it is within a 20 block distance.

This means that walls can be more seamlessly placed around your buildings to provide a stronger defence - we've also drastically decreased the price of walls to 15 gold per post, so you can really border off your buildings!

Our staff team had a lot of fun testing today!

Walls also connect to the cliffside as well, so players can't walk around, and should be able to break them to get past!

Archers have also seen a buff - now shooting more rapidly! Watch out everyone, these archers are lethal! Not only this, now archer towers act as wall posts too, so they are able to connect to walls!

Finally, we've added a gate!
These gates can only be activated by your team, but has a delay in opening and closing, so people can still infiltrate your base, so be careful! These can be bought in the construction site!

🕷 New Building - Spiders Nest!

Watch out for these spiders around your opponents base! The Spiders Nest provides some on-land defence for your buildings, they begin spawning when players get close, and will attack them! Look out! These have 3 upgrades, and will initially cost you 35 gold!
These can be bought in the construction site!

🐛 Bug Fixes & Balancing!

All of these bugs have been documented in our changelog channel on Discord - if you haven't joined already, join here!
- No longer allowed to give negative Gold/Food in Colony Control.
- Buildings are no longer removed from your total building count when they are being upgraded.
- The Pet Shop now has a limit of 1 per team.
- Fixed Boulders, Trees, & Buildings from not being removed in Colony Control (Java & Bedrock)
- Fixed archer towers attacking your own teammates.
- Made destroyed buildings look more obvious, with coal blocks and fire!
- Made it so you get teleported back to your town hall if you escape the map when the walls haven't dropped!
- Added barriers around the map.
- When a Running Track, Gym, or Hospital is removed or destroyed in Colony Control your effects are now cleared.
- When a Boulder or Tree is broken in Colony Control every player who helped break it is now given their fair percentage of gold.
- When placing an already upgraded Running Track, Gym, or Hospital in Colony Control the correct effects are given to you.
- Your gold & food can now no longer glitch into the negatives in Colony Control.
- Miner & Farmers guild now give you an extra worker for every upgrade in Colony Control
- Walls will now connect to Archery Towers. Archery Towers won't connect to walls.
- Gold ores regenerate at a faster rate.
- Added a building compass tracker. You can't use the player and building compass trackers at the same time.
- Added barrier blocks to keep players from jumping out of the map.
- You can now remove the debris of other team's buildings.
- Added purchasable armour sets from Armoury building.
- Reduce wall prices from 75 to 25 gold.
- Massively improved Archer Towers to be an actual threat!
- Add more health holograms for Trees.
- Removed unneeded shop items. Shovels, pickaxes, hoes, etc.
- Building Eggs will no longer stack in Colony Control.
- Fixed not being able to purchase iron axes from Blacksmith in Colony Control.
- Archer Towers in Colony Control were given a damage nerf, they now deal 2 hearts to someone wearing iron armor. Use a bow to take them down!
- Archer Towers can no longer be placed near other Archer Towers.
- Fixed being unable to destroy all of an enemy teams buildings.

Amazing changes I love this gamemode ik you prob read this thousand times but here we go Pls make it permanent gamemode 🙏

Spent 45 minutes collecting resources for full diamond on assassins'. Got it, then I get murdered by a cheater who logs after getting the full diamond. What fun. xD
