Buckets are useful so you can fill it up with water and slow enemies down but the others need to be removed so yeah +1

I believe they are working on a party system at the moment but they are busy with uhc and anticheat so they need more time for those stuff, good idea anyway +1.

This idea sounds good because 1.8 has only 2 minigames and it needs a bit more as classic pvp is more fun than slow 1.9 pvp as 1.8 is fast paced.
