Hi CubeCraft team!

I wanted to suggest adding proximity voice chat to the server using a tool

called VoiceCraft. It's a free, open-source proximity voice chat solution

that works on Minecraft Bedrock and supports Windows, Android, and Linux.

I think it would make the server way more fun and interactive for players!

It works on vanilla Bedrock servers.

It’s an idea. Proximity voice chat would make the game feel more interactive. This is especially true in modes like Free For All or team games. Players can talk to others who're close by. This adds a layer to gameplay.

That said, I see why they might be careful. Voice chat can bring problems. There are issues with moderating conversations. There is a risk of abuse. It can also affect performance. This is especially true on a network, like CubeCraft. CubeCraft has younger players.

Maybe a good middle ground would be making it optional.. It could be limited to private games. This way people who want it can use it. It won’t affect everyone.

This will never happen. Friend messaging was removed due to Microsoft's Child safety policy, Cube wouldn't even consider adding voice chat.

haha tbh a proximity chat would be terrible like imagine playing 4s and everyone is at mid screaming into their mic's little kids are begging and crying, sweats are cursing and raging and you're just trying to play. The amount of verbal abuse that would go down would be wild, especially since there would be no way to reliable moderate it. after all CC can't moderate hackers we can't ask them to moderate proximity chat on top of that

Microsoft wouldn't allow it for Bedrock due to regulations, plus it could be abused to attack kids, and it would be hard to moderate. Also, remember this is a kids' Minecraft server.

Like others have said:
-Microsoft has very strict guidelines on what to do if you're a featured server. Because CC has like a lot of 11 year olds they even had to remove /fm to comply. Imagine what a whole new level vc would be on lmao... Nightmare for children I think
-Moderating it would take so much time, mods can't even keep up with all the cheaters (just look at ffa) so a completely new reporting page for vc infractions would need like 20 more mods

That's simply not possible... CC will not use third party plugins obviously but if they make their own one to talk to others which is available on other servers it will be kinda cool.
