I think they should add the spear to the eggwars shop for like 96 Emeralds or a stack and a half. I think it will be a fun item and maybe add the lunge enchantment too give give player a really cool clutch for kill for a montage.

I don't think that's the smartest idea to do honestly. Considering the fact that the spear has a little bit further reach than swords, it would make it pretty unfair gameplay if it got added to the shop, regardless of what price it has.

Yes I thought that too but they could always downgrade it like give it the same reach as sword and give it a very long cool down like 1 min but I see what you mean that it would be unfair.

I've seen this topic being discussed multiple times lately, not just about Eggwars, but also about gamemodes such as FFA. New weapons, like the spear and the mace, are apparently highly desireable. So I thought I'd give my personal opinion on the topic :)
Adding the spear to Eggwars seems very unnecessary to me. As of right now, the game feels perfectly balanced, and it being obtainable, for whatever crazy amount, would no matter what upset that, as @yurisatori0312 said earlier. What's the point in grinding for good armor, good swords, good defense if someone else could farm, in your example, emeralds, and just one shot them, or keep them at distance and win the fight in the long run. The skill aspect in a very PvP oriented gamemode would take a huge hit.
To counter the keeping-at-distance part, you suggested making it so the spear has the same reach as a sword. Which, to give you some credit, is a good and fair idea. But it seems as if it would be very, in my opinion, unnecessary development work.
And with the other suggestion of it having a one minute cooldown, then what's the point in even adding it and grinding to get it?
To me, it seems like it's not a great idea to add it, both balance and development wise. An item that would upset the balance this much, and would need so many tweaks to begin with, shouldn't even be considered to be added.
I would love to see the spear in another gamemode though! I think, for example, it would be a great addition to PoF! (If this is already the case, oopsie)
