  • We're running an internal migration of all old players' stats to our new highly advanced statistics tracking backend. This means that stat changes will be a bit delayed while we ingest this huge backlog of data. Nothing is being lost, it'll just take a bit longer to show up in the in-game UIs.

Why CubeCraft Should Add a Sumo Gamemode/Option For BA

  1. Popular in Other Servers
    • Sumo is already one of the most popular PvP modes on other Minecraft servers (like Hypixel). Players enjoy it because it’s fast-paced, competitive, and easy to understand. Adding it would attract players who are specifically looking for that kind of experience.
  2. Low Barrier to Entry
    • Unlike complex modes with kits, items, or building mechanics, Sumo is purely about knockback and movement control. This makes it beginner-friendly while still offering depth for skilled players.
  3. Great for Competitive PvP
    • Sumo tests mechanics like strafing, W-tapping, and knockback control. Many PvP players use it for warm-ups and practice. CubeCraft could make it part of their duels or standalone mode, boosting CubeCraft’s reputation as a PvP hub.
  4. Fast-Paced and Replayable
    • Matches only last a few seconds to a couple minutes, making it a perfect “quick play” mode. This encourages players to stay online longer, since they can get into multiple rounds rapidly without long queues or downtime.
  5. Works Well With CubeCraft’s Style
    • CubeCraft already thrives on minigames that are easy to pick up and replay (like SkyWars, EggWars, and BlockWars). Sumo fits that design philosophy and would slot seamlessly into their existing game rotation.
  6. Custom Twist Potential
    • CubeCraft could differentiate their Sumo from other servers by adding unique arenas, seasonal events, or fun modifiers (e.g., ice floors, slime pads, shrinking platforms). This keeps it fresh and distinctly “CubeCraft.”
  7. Community Demand
    • Many PvP players constantly request Sumo modes when discussing new content. Listening to that demand would help CubeCraft grow and show that the devs care about community feedback.

In short: Adding Sumo would give CubeCraft a simple, competitive, and highly replayable mode that strengthens their PvP offerings and attracts more players. It wouldn't have to be its own gamemode either, it could be an option for 1v1 or 2v2s in Battle Arena.

I do agree with you, adding sumo would be a great addition to CubeCraft. However, I think it would fit better as a minor gamemode within Battle Arena 1v1 / 2v2 rather than as a full standalone gamemode, since I can also understand why CubeCraft might not introduce it otherwise.
