Diamonds are now super common, the caves are just too massive and awful for gameplay and performance and cliffs is just too extreme now. Especially with power snow. It's almost impossible to climb a cliff without using leather boots.
I just hope they'll make caves and cliffs optional or make an option to keep playing on old cave generation.

I may gonna dislike 1.18 part 2. I believe mojang will force their players to play on caves and cliffs mode and I probably would dislike it.

Logged onto Cubecraft Java for the first time since 2021/22. I miss these days playing every day when the server would average 5-8k. Looking through my friends list seeing all my friends I would talk to every single day gives me an uneasy yet satisfying feeling.
