Gifs as profile picture

I have seen a lot of people having GIFs as profile pictures lately.
If have also tried a lot of GIFs myself, but none of 'em worked.

Yesterday, I saw this amazing GIF, and decided to download it. I don't know why, but it was a 19s. long video of the same GIF repeating. So I cut it, to make it shorter and also to make sure it wasn't going over the KB limit.
I already made it very short, still didn't work.
Since I made it on GIPHY, I downloaded the small version.
It. Still. Didn't. Work.

So the limit is 50 KB, and when I checked how much KB the small version of my GIF was, it was 105 KB

How do people make GIF with only 50 KB? I've litterally tried everything I know..
I can't make it any shorter because it'll look really bad.
I can't download an even smaller version, even if I could, it probably look really bad too.

How.. Just.. Please tell me HOW?

The gif has to be under 50kb which is probably the reason. Means you cant use high quality gifs

So, I found a solution:
1: https://giphy.com
Create your gif and download the small version.
2. https://compress-or-die.com/gif/
Use this..
3. http://gifgifs.com/optimizer/
Then go to this website, upload the gif you created at the compress or die website.
Click on the button next to 'Upload GIF'

And click on ''Remove every 2nd frame''


Now you got a GIF that, if I'm right, you can use as profile picture.
It'll be very bad quality tho..
So if anyone has a better solution..

That gif is 106kb which is 56 too big. I had a low quality gif originally but it didnt work so I had to go with this one

Mine's just 2 frames, so I don't have a problem with this, but when it was too big, I resized it to a smaller picture
